First, he said he had never seen such a large group of riders and wonder if it was an organized event. Then just warned us about about some trails and such. Was very nice and not acting like an enforcer. Liked that we were all safety conscious. He was with Toiyabe NF.

Reno Deans & Chris Lacomb's Verdi Ride 1/17/15
Had a wonderful time with a great bunch of fellow OHV enthusiasts this past Saturday. :D We put in just under 60 miles of rugged and muddy adventure riding in the Dog Valley & Peavine Peak areas of the Sierras. Enjoy the photos & video. Reno Deano https://plus.google.com/photos/104730725462657207876...

Re: GETTING STUCK ON TREASURE MTN
My only good trail out was the snowmobile marked route and a set of week old tracks down to Nichols Mill Rd. Getting off of them cause my snowshoes to sink about a foot or more into the powder. I know the shortcut trails down to Nicols Mill and Old Truckee, but the powder was a bit too deep to chanc...

Re: GETTING STUCK ON TREASURE MTN
I had a Sat phone also. The reason I treked out at 3 pm was to make sure I got down to Nichols Mill Rd and then Hwy 89 in the daylight. Luckily my buddy Gary got hold of a snowmobile and met me on the trail. He had one hell of a time getting up Treasure Mtn Rd from Nichols Mill Rd and was worried he...

Re: GETTING STUCK ON TREASURE MTN
My winch, without snatch block would not reach a forward tree. When I tried to winch to left or right I just got dragged into the side of the hole and sunk deeper.
