Update: We're riding this weekend in Logandale Trails, Nevada. Temps here are in the mid 60's and low 70's (while its still snow covered and freezing at home in Utah). The new Kolpin is starting to show strange bulges as evidenced by my camo paint poppping off in the locations where the flat pack is...

Well, I now have some of the older style 3.7gal and the newer 4gal. After putting lube on the newer style, I've yet to see any leaking or issues with the new venting cap. I've not yet used the older style, but anticipate putting both to additional testing mid-Feb. when we head into Logandale, NV for...

I have one, and it will haul three quads or a car/jeep/small truck. It's VERY heavy (empty, around 1500 pounds), but it has a rear ramp and a side ramp, made of solid steel (not hollow tube) and has electric brakes (wiring disabled for those, though). I'm in Utah, looking for around $1400 (OBO). It'...

Nice looking riding area. What are the GPS coords?

Also, who's the gal with the Air Force Captain bars on her jacket?

Found one of the WARN snow-plow fairleads on eBay, but I have to determine if it can be mounted on the 2005 Kawi Brute Force 750i.

Can this be used throughout the year even without the snow plow? I don't see why it would be an issue..

Warn 2.5 inch winch with 48" plow issues..

I just added a 48" snow plow to my Brute Force. After a mere 2 weeks of use, I've had at least 3 cable breaks and am now noticing that the cable is tunneling into the front face plate on the Warn winch. Are there any options to prevent the cable from digging into the front plate on the winch? Also, ...

I just got mine in the mail today. On first glance, I was thinking they appeared USED. The cap threads already have a Vaseline substance on them and the interior smelled of something. The ad on eBay indicates NEW, so I'll just assume mine are and hope they didn't contain something other than fuel if...

Perhaps too early in the morning for you, Vulcan? You attached a .JPG (graphic), not a video.

Why not just get the complete bracket kit from Kolpin.com or rockymountainatv.com?

I have the same 4gallon setup, but bought the two mounting brackets. They can be found here:

For the ATV, I got: - 48" snow plow (just in time for our 2 foot of snow) - Kolpin 4 gallon flat fuel tank (ARGH, I just read the complaints) - New winter ATV riding coat - Full face Barclava (neoprene in my favorite camo pattern) - New winter riding gloves - New Special Forces tactical gloves - Car...

Well, for oil, I'm not certain what's in there as my local dealer recently changed the oil.

As for rejetting or carb heater, I've not done anything to re-jet (only adjusted the idle), and I'm not aware of a carb heater.

Any suggestions for inspecting and or rejetting appreciated.

Brute Force -- hard to start when cold

My 2005 Brute Force is almost impossible to start when the temps are cold. It takes about 3 minutes of cranking, giving it gas (with the choke on), then once it fires up, it takes another 1-2 minutes of giving it throttle before it will idle by itself. With the amount of snow we've been getting, I'v...

2003 Polaris Sportsman 700

Being a Kawasaki guy (2005 Brute Force 750i and Prarie 400 4x4), I've started looking at Polaris. (I really like the new 800 x2) Locally, I came across a guy selling a 2003 Sportsman 700 for $2300. Seems the guy is the 2nd owner, but based on the photos (I've not seen it in person yet), the machine ...
