New Member looking to ride some Tuff trails

Postby P-Dub » Wed Jan 09, 2008 2:53 pm

I'm Patrick and I just joined and I'm always looking to schedule a ride. I like to use my AWD and my winch. I have a trailer that can hold another Utility quad or two. Forest Hill and Mamouth Bar are fun but I'm looking for some more challanging rides.

THe best riding I found was in the "highlakes" just above Chico/ Paradise. I hope to host a ride out there this summer.

hope to hear from some other utiltity quad riders.

Welcome,
Seems like there is alot of riders from around the placer county area, so it might be pretty easy to meet pretty close to everybodys house and have a blast.

Fordyce and Rubicon, are definitely the two hardest places. If you've never done them before, you'd definitely need to be prepared (skid plates, etc) and go with someone who has done it before.

Obviously....those 2 locations are on hold until May/June and Fordyce historically for ATV's is Fall.

What type of ride are you planning out of Colfax? Would you be into snow or is Colfax too low?

We are going to be heading up the rail road tracks to dutch flat and comming back. I have ridden up to dutch flat head through town to the other side and head back to greenhorn. The greenhorn side is under the powerlines and the dirt is very dusty. I think it would be very muddy this time of year.

we are meeting at 10:00 a.m at the shotting range in colfax. If you don't know where that is at I could meet you at the chevron at 9:45.

The riding is all trail riding. Near the shooting range there might be some mud. Its easy fun riding.

ATV'er,

If the offer is still open, I'd like to join you Saturday morning. I need to get my machine out for a a ride. From the description, it sounds like something I could enjoy.

Since I don't know Colfax very well, meeting at the Chevron Station at 9:45 would help.

Ya that sounds great. I will see you at 9:45. We should have a good ride if FishaHallic goes too.
