Well, I can't help but to think that while we need the water/snowpack, this latest round of weather is locking in the high country for quite awhile longer. Riding up in the forest seems like an awful long ways away now!
However, it's sure good for the folks like the chain installers and ski areas and the local economies dependent on winter recreation. Now if I only had a sled....

Re: Winter is back...
I was fine with a early spring/summer, but the snow is ok too. Sledding is great about 8 feet of fresh powder by sterling lake, about 2 feet at a time is better. Lots of digging.

Re: Winter is back...
Got a little over 2' here.
Wish it would have been that, and stayed like that... but we ended up getting half night a rain, and then 3-5" more.. now the snow is less fun!
At least it's getting COLD at night so if I go out in the AM I can have a little fun on crust/slush before it turns to all mush!
Low 30s, high humidity, and riding fast will quickly chill you to the bones though
