Moab Adventure - The story of a not-so-slick rocker
I found this article pretty interesting on Moab...I have some friends back in Ohio that just did this trip and had nothing but great things to say about it.

My buddy Ryan lives in Utah....he's been begging me to go.
He said the best time is around Easter Break..it's called Jeep Week...but in reality, it lasts 3 or so weeks.
During "Jeep Week"...you can ride ATV's on the road. The cops lay off, because it's so important to the economy.
Money talks....

The link wasn't working??? I guess it's ok now....
I've heard Easter break is the time to go too...it does get crowded...I bet in the Fall would be beautiful too with the leaves changing...everything I've read about Moab has been good things.
Off topic here:....Moab is on my list of things to do before I die...lol...just like going to San Francisco this past weekend was one of the places on my "list of things to do"..."The Embarcadero Street"...very cool things to do and see there. It was fun...can't wait to go back!... they shut down 2 lanes on the Bay Bridge...so I got a little 2hr "tour" of the city going in circles!

Cool. I worked next to Embarcadero 3 for 3 years.
Next time....Take the Vallejo Ferry at the Ferry building. Just take it for a round trip, cause there's not much in Vallejo to see. But the ride is great....about 50-55 minutes each way.

05' Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI, 2.5 warn winch, tool box, front grill, rear bumper, gas pack, Magellan Sportrak Pro GPS and Collett radio.
02' Polaris Sportsman 700, ITP 589 m/s, K&N air filter, Polaris front and rear bumpers.

The Vallejo Ferry is indoors (though you can go outside), it's heated and air con'd with big Airplane type chairs.
The Larkspur Ferry is wood benches...wood chairs....but conversely, it's only a 20 minute ride...compared to 1 hour to Vallejo.
Vallejo goes by this little island with a bed/breakfast on it.

That sounds like something I would really enjoy...thanks...
It's funny you mention Vallejo...while I stopped to have coffee at a corner cafe, there was a table next to me of people that started chatting and one of the guys was from Vallejo.....you guys would probably know better than I, but is there a military base around there? This guy was USAF...
...anyhow so like they mentioned the ferry and different things to do in the city....they took me on a walking tour...you talk about a workout?!? OMG....I did a couple blocks with them and my legs are killing me today! lol...it was fun though.

Travis Air Force base in Fairfield....about 20 miles more toward Tahoe on 80.
There used to be a Navy base at Mare Island...but it closed years ago. My aunt used to work there as a Contractor....her job? She made the curtains that they put over the secret parts of the Sub when it was in Dry Dock....Whoda thunk.
