Rubicon on Snow Tracks
Rubicon on Snow tracks....What a day....beautiful weather at first, easy ride in.....
Ride back? 6 hours, more winching than I can count, broken axle, broken track mount, 2 unspooled winch cables, 200 feet of cable used, snatch block, 2 hours winching in 1 location...and partridge in a pear tree.

Whoa! It started out sounding fun, then later... not so much.
How did you deal with the broken axle? Was that on yours or Scott's?

The axle....there was nothing to do. I did look at it yesterday more closely, without all the snow mashed around it. The axle actually just yanked out of the CV joint....Since it was the front axle....just let the broken one spin...so I had 3 wheel drive...and a strong pull to the right....that left my arms dead tired.

We could have made it to spider with tires in the morning. But in the afternoon the snow would have been to soft to get back up the slabs.
