Jumping Jack Trailers- Feedback?
Anybody have experience with these or heard any pros/cons?
I'm looking for a tent trailer or cheap RV. This might be a good compromise between different needs. Storage during non-use, transport of avt and trailer, etc. etc.

LMFAO! Sure, as long as they don't think any shafts were lubed in the tent.Ken wrote:Change the title of that thread to ...

some of the tear drop trailers look cool also. But don't have alot of room inside by the looks of them. Here is a link below.

I'm coming to the conclusion the JJ trailers are a great idea, but I agree they seem overpriced.
What about fabricating a roll cage that would go over the top of a standard tent trailer. The top of the cage would be designed to hold one quad. The cage would have to quick release so the tent could go up.
The bottom of the cage would weld to the frame of the trailer.
Would a tent trailer chassis take the weight? 1000 +/- lbs?

The frame would take it, but you'd have to swap to a larger size tire for the extra load.
I thought about that same thing once I saw the JJ trailers. It would have to be hinged so that it could be swung out of the way completely. It would take a little thought, but it could be done.

Well, it wouldn't be any different than the JJ trailers. It won't pull like it does without the quads on top, but I think it would be fine. Still gonna be shorter than a standard travel trailer or toy hauler and they do fine.
If you really wanted to, and had a lighter duty vehicle, you could put a sway control on the hitch and that would alleviate any issues you might have. They're pretty inexpensive too, less than $100.
