well i did a hike and my first lesson lerned was seal skin socks
so you feet stay dry even if your shoes are wet and get a downs synthetic sleeping bag stays warm even when wet and it is half the waight. and keeps you dry.
and a small first aid kit for blisters on you hands and such
i know you not walking but. but you never know when you might burn
your self of get bit by a small bug. that will bother you and make you itch.
i would pic up a hikers guide for that area that you want to ride and see what it suggest for. and what kind of creaters live there so you can be ready for them to invade your camp.
that is my suggestions.

Ken 13 mre's for 30.00 is a real bargan. I pay anywhere from $5.00-$7.00 each at the army navy store I get them in. I'll have to check him out. I use them even when I'm out for a day of riding. There so convenient to use and carry. Thanks for putting up the link...

I did a search on ebay for MRE's. There are alot of venders selling them. The arvarge price for one dozen is about $65.00. That's about the norm. If you consider what comes in one package they are more then worth the price. You get a complete meal with 2 drinks and a piece of gum. More then enough to fill you up. The place I get them the guy sells the individually. He carries many different varieties: Meat Loaf W/Mashed Potatoes, Salsbury Steak, Chicken Breast, Ham, Chicken W/Rice, Pasta ect. I usualy pick up 4 or 5 at a time so I have them on hand when I head out for a ride. Boil up some water set them in the pot and there ready in just a few minutes. You can munch on the crackes and jam or crackers and cheese while your waiting for the main meal to heat up. You can't beat them for camping, hunting, atv'ing ect..
