2003 700 twin running on 1 cylinder??

Postby Stumppuller » Wed Jan 16, 2008 8:39 am

I have a buddy who had this happen, was okay for a couple hours and all of a sudden it started, so he filled up with gas thinking it was bad gas. We stopped to eat, then left the bar and it was fine for a bit then did it again, he played with the joke and it kicked back on 2. As long as he left the choke out a bit it was fine!

Anyone have a idea what could be causing it to run on 1 cylinder?

Thanks.

Check the boot that holds the carb. to the head. This boot will crack after time. The choke on will try and overcome the air leak from the boot.
Are you sure it is running on one cyl.? or just running like crap with out the choke on?
