AJ,
Let me get this straight. You've got an offer on your Honda for $5k and you're using your time posting forum notes? Load your bike right now, Bighorns and all, and get the $5k tonight.

You should be able to pick up a nice bike off Craigslist. Lots of people are selling their toys.

Granted this bike would be a handful for you, but you can always dream, right?

Now, I am no expert but you need to consider what type of riding your doing. From my experience of riding with someone with a 2 up (Hellcat) the longer wheel base could and I repeat could give you problems depending on the type of riding your doing.
The only con I can see besides a little less rack space is the longer wheel base. Now the way I ride and the way I rode with Hellcat the longer wheel base was not really an issue but we did mostly decent trails and not really any rock crawling. One time on a snow convered log that we all went over fairly slow, Hellcat had to go at it a little faster so as not to high center. Also, when we were seeing if his quad fit on my side loader trailer the long wheel base made it tight but doable. Other than that his quad ran great, it was nice to take a passenger on (if you need that option) and he actually carried 2 passengers on it all day and they had a great time.............it may be illegal or some may say dangerous but I am not sure we topped 20mph all day and rode safely.
Rock crawling, I don't know since I don't do that much but the longer wheel base might be an issue if that is the way you ride most of the time.
These are just my opinions and are not meant to generate hard feeling to those of you with long wheel bases

fish,
You bring up a good point. I don't know how the slightly longer wheel base will work crawling.
Back the day, short wheel base, like Willys jeeps were super desireable. But with all the newer lockers and giant tires, everyone has gone to longer wheelbases for crawling. Toyota trucks are now "the thing".
How does that translate to ATV's? I don't know for sure, but I think they would be ok. Obviously with longer wheelbase, tire height helps a great deal.
In California, as long as it was designed for 2 riders, its legal. Those 2 rider kits at Cabelas aren't legal in CA.
AJ. Shouldn't be tough to find a good quad for 5k. Can am and Polaris are the only 2 that make a 2 up.
