Re: Pittbulls rocker
Talk to oldtrucks about them. He is a dealer and has a bunch of them. But I wasn't impressed with them on the rubicon. Either they suck on rocks or Larry can't wheel.

hmm.. where they on a atv / sxs ? or a full size rig? Seems most people with jeeps / buggies really like there full size version on rocks. I admit i was only looking into them since i thought they would be as good if not better then big horns in rocks and way better in mud. I just want a taller tire, i run 25's at the moment which i like for trail riding but wouldnt mind a set of taller tires.

Re: Pittbulls rocker
ok i may be going over board but the 27.5 are being released this month, just use them for rocks then swap my 25 big horns for trail riding of course could be to tipsy going that big as well.
Any one run 27 big horns? and hate / like them?
I dont mind doing clutch work to raise engagement / shift out for bigger tires but if theres a height you "people" have noticed has been over kill for atvs id love to hear it. You all have much more exp then me on rocks and atv's.

Re: Pittbulls rocker
Bighorns run big...so essentially a 26" bighorn is 27". The 27's are nearly 28...so I never went that big with stock stuff.
Not sure how the pitbulls run.

Re: Pittbulls rocker
The pits run a little over size like horns. Also run little heavier. I am going to try a set of 26.5's when ready for tires.

Re: Pittbulls rocker
The first trip I tried the Rockers on rocks I wasn't impressed, however as mentioned I'm a rather sucky wheeler so maybe it wasn't the tires. After a few more trips I realized the tires were getting better, it took a few miles to get the sidewalls to flex and the lug edges to round off and grip well. Well enough that I could climb the "Water Fall" on Flat Iron Mesa unassisted even with my sucky skills, then again it could have been the Miyagi approach that got me over the top
There are clearly two camps on these tires, those that love them and those that don't. I'm not sure why people complain about weight when they are looking at 8 ply tires with lugs 1 1/4" deep, the way they're built they should be heavy. They run tall, about the same as the original Bighorns, usually about a 1/2 inch over so a 26.5 will be 27" at 6 psi. I don't see them lasting as long as the original Bighorns, but who wants to keep the same old tires that long anyway. Sidewalls are probably the weak spot on the Bighorn, I don't see ever cutting one of the Rockers, they are thick and tough. Best of all they're Made in America

Re: Pittbulls rocker
sidewalls on my big horns cut and tear easy, but so does the rest of the bighorn in my case.
