Amsoil Oil Report

Postby Ken » Mon Oct 01, 2007 12:24 pm

My Duramax has 23k on it. I changed the oil 3 times ...Stock oil, Amsoil and Amsoil. On the 3rd change, I sent it into Blackstone Labs for testing. I wanted to know if my oil was ok after 10,000 miles between changes with Amsoil.

So basically....my oil after 10,000 miles was on par, with a vehicle oil change of 6,300 miles. They were dead on, that it was the 3rd oil change.

Here's the whole report.

How did you come across these guys for testing your oil? What was the cost?

I have a Durango with 140k miles on it, and I've only used Mobile-1 synthetic and am curious to know how its holding up.

what Larry said...

Just have them send you the kit (it's free). When you do your change, about midway through, send it to the kit. Seal it up, fill out the form...and I think it was about 23 bucks.

Busted....lol.

Feel lucky I was able to remember if it was under $100 or over $100...think of 50 cents as a bullseye.

The thing to do is group buy on kits, anything over 6 prepaid kits and the cost is $17 a test.

OK, here's the deal, if we get 6 or more it's $17 a test. For an aditional $1.98 (let's call it $2 Kendo  ) we get the postage prepaid as well. All we have to do is drop it in the mail and wait for your report to arrive. I hate going to the Post Office so I'd vote for the $19 kit. Others that work in government offices probably have a mail service and a secretary that does that stuff for them want the $17 kits

List on our Blackstone Group buy

Larry - 2
Kendo - 2
Nick - ?
Dusty - 2
Ken - ?
Bill - 2
