LOL! THis whole TSA thing is spinning out of control. A columnist said it best by saying that TSA is "security theater". They deny the other logical paths (e.g.; profiling, like CBP does at the borders) and instead inspect everyone from 3 year-olds to 95-year olds as potential suspects. They've crossed a line with the body scanners and groping searches. The congress critters have detected the public's unhappiness and are starting to move. I'm way less inclined to fly than I was - we'll see how this pans out.

I fly twice week. Actually, I'm over Pennsylvania right now. Free internet on Delta. Anyway. I have no choice. The good news? Sacramento doesn't have them, yet.

I left DCA on thursday, and they made go thru it for the first time. Personally? Junk grab or scanner? I'll take scanner. It was fast, surprisingly.

I really don't see how they can fully replace traditional detectors. Unless they hire a ton of "viewers", since it clearly takes time to read a whole body.

I think pilots going thru it is dumb. So I'm glad they stopped that.
