Proving yet again that Sir Isaac was right: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. 60,000-ish pounds of thrust is an action that you don't want to get reacted by!

Saw that a long time ago.
I worked at SFO from 1985 - 1995...driving all over the backside...always looking out for jets turning, and blasting you. I used to teach Ramp Safety for the new hires....the best advice for people walking around....head up, on swivel. No staring at your feet...you'll die. Almost lost a ramp worker to the prop of the Reno plane....Continental lost a 21 year old kid....Ran over at the gate....nose gear went right over his thighs....he died from shock.
